Vice President Mo Dan attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.

Rural development is an important issue of common concern for developing countries and a field that requires continuous strengthening of study, research, exchange and cooperation. At the opening ceremony, participants expressed their delight in attending this seminar and their wish to learn from China's experience and practices in agricultural technology extension and industrial poverty alleviation, to promote rural economic development in their own countries and regions, and to support rural poverty reduction and women's causes.

Through lectures, seminars and online visits themed on rural development, participants will learn concepts and exchange their views about China's agricultural and rural development policies, the history of rural reform, industrial poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, rural governance, cooperative development and rural e-commerce. Representatives of typical enterprises and cooperatives will be invited to interact with participants online so that participants can gain a deeper understanding of China's rural development from a practical level and be inspired to promote their own ideas on rural development.
