International Cooperation

In recent years, capitalizing on its advantages in human resources, information, knowledge and location and based on agricultural training, AMI has expanded international exchange through “both inviting foreign experts in and sending domestic experts abroad”, trying to serve as a window for foreign exchange and cooperation of agricultural talents. AMI has established friendly cooperative relationship with Agricultural Training Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) of Korea, Training Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery (MAFF) of Japan, FAO of UN, Hannover Chinese Center of Germany, International Potato Center (CIP), Agricultural and Rural Development Management Academy of Vietnam and the University of St. Gallen of Switzerland etc.

AMI began to undertake foreign-aid training programs in 2004. Since then, the Institute organized training programs for African countries, ASEAN members, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) etc. under multilateral frameworks such as FOCAC, 10+3, ACD, SCO, as well as bilateral cooperation between MOA of China and Ministry of Agriculture of other countries. Up to now, the Institute has successfully carried out 40 training programs and trained about 700 agricultural officials and technicians from 69 countries.

The institute has been making efforts to give play to the advantages in agricultural international cooperation resources, professional researches and teaching facilities. In the process of implementation, AMI places great emphasis on need study, scientific program design and regulated management to ensure training effects. Our training programs have been widely acclaimed by participants and won good reputation in developing countries. AMI has shaped a foreign-aid training system specialized in subjects of agricultural and rural development, animal husbandry and agricultural machinery management etc.
