About Us

  Administration and Management Institute (AMI) of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), also known as the C.P.C Party School of MARA, the Central Education and Training Center for Agricultural Cadres, is a department-level institution directly affiliated to MARA.

  AMI is responsible for:

  Undertake training to officials in China’s agricultural and rural system, semi-senior and senior professionals, agricultural professionals, new agricultural stakeholders, rural talents with practical skills and overseas agricultural officials;

  Conduct research and investigation on such major issues as agricultural and rural policies and regulations, rural land, resources and environment, rural talents with practical skills and new agricultural stakeholders, rural social governance and the Party building, agriculture and rural economy analysis, reform and development for modern agriculture;

  Provides consultancy and support services on the realization of the rural vitalization strategy, agricultural administration and legislation, rural economic reform and development, cultivation of new agricultural stakeholders, modern agriculture development, etc.

  AMI is headquartered in Huilongguan, Changping District of Beijing, covering around 8 hectares of land and with a total building area of more than 60,000 m2 which could accommodate 600 trainees at the same time. Featured with diversified business layout composing of training, research, consultancy and conference services, as well as a nationwide training network for agricultural and rural cadre and talent, AMI has developed a number of leading training programs, such as rotation training to local agricultural and rural administrators at provincial, city, and county level, training to the senior agricultural professionals and lead extentioners, training to new agricultural stakeholders such as farmers' cooperatives and family farms, training to Party secretaries of village C.P.C organizations and rural talents. AMI has recognized as major channel for education and training for agricultural and rural carders and talents, research base for soft science in agriculture and rural affairs, important think tank for local government in making modern agriculture plans and rural revelation plans. The institute enjoins a full-time and part-time faculty with ability to meet requirements for modern training, research, teaching and consulting.  AMI headquarter has 147 full-time faculty members, among which 47 are granted with the title of assistant professor or above, and 86 hold master’s degrees or above.

  In the new era, AMI will adhere to the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, practice the concept of innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared development, fulfill the requirement by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs to enhance and improve the work of Party Schools under the New Situations. The institute will conduct the supply-side reform in education and training for agricultural and rural cadre and talent, with correct political direction, advanced educational idea, professional scientific research and strict administration discipline. The vision of AMI is to be the national demonstration base for agricultural and rural cadre and talent education and training, a demonstration base for theoretical and policy research on agriculture, rural areas and farmers, a demonstration base for innovative practices in pushing ahead rural vitalization.
